About This site
This is the personal site of Ross McFarland. Neces doesn't stand for anything, it's just a random, short, and (at the time) available domain name that I thought of and bought about 10 years ago. It was originally purchased so that I would have a permanent email address rather than changing addresses when jumping around from ISP to ISP, school to job, etc. Having an email address for 10+ years, especially one that I've used on a lot of mailing lists and for open source projects results in a lot of spam (around 8500/month according to gmail's spam folder.) Anyway this site is pretty out of date, I haven't changed the content in quite a while, but I do often add pictures to my gallery so you should check that out.
